Flange Heating Elements
Easy-Maintenance Seal, High Compatibility
Flange heating elements, also known as insert-type electric heaters, typically utilize U-shaped tubular heating elements. They can be designed to meet the requirements of different media and operating conditions. Multiple tubular heating elements are assembled and secured to a flange cover or threaded plug according to the required power, and inserted into the material to be heated via the flange or threaded interface. When the heating elements are in operation, the heat they generate is transferred to the medium being heated, raising its temperature to meet process requirements.

Product Description
The flanged heating elements come into direct contact with the process medium, ensuring excellent thermal efficiency. The product allows for adjustment of the tubing material and surface power density based on the physical properties of the heating medium (such as viscosity and corrosiveness) to prevent carbonization, scaling, or premature burnout of the tubing. A temperature sensor and over-temperature limiter can be integrated inside the junction box; when paired with an external control cabinet, this enables precise regulation of the medium temperature and dry-burn protection. For pipeline heating systems with specific flow rate requirements, baffles can be configured to improve fluid distribution. These products are primarily used for the direct heating of liquids, gases, and mixed fluids. They can be equipped with standard industrial junction boxes for easy on-site wiring and integration into systems such as storage tanks, pressure vessels, or recirculation pipelines, making them suitable for industrial heating applications in the chemical, mechanical, and marine sectors.
Applications
- Marine & Shipbuilding: Heating of media in ship compartments and cabinets, fuel tank preheating, heating of onboard cleaning fluid circulation systems, and thermal insulation of marine storage tanks
- General Machinery and Equipment: Complete equipment sets, skid-mounted units, heating for hydraulic and lubrication systems, and auxiliary heating for equipment water tanks and oil sumps
- OEM Equipment Manufacturing: Providing customized flanged heating elements for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for integration into customers’ complete systems and test equipment
- Chemical and Energy: Heating and temperature control for process storage tanks, reactors, and fluids in circulation piping
- Other Industrial Applications: Environmental protection equipment, water treatment, and heating and insulation for fluid processing units
Advantages
- Excellent Thermal Conductivity: Utilizes an immersion heating method, where heat is directly transferred to the process medium, resulting in low thermal energy loss and helping to reduce overall operational energy consumption.
- Wide Range of Material Options: Depending on the fluid’s corrosiveness, viscosity, and operating temperature, customers can flexibly choose between stainless steel or special alloys. These materials offer excellent resistance to oxidation, rust, and corrosion, making them suitable for clean water, oils, and mildly corrosive process media.
- Flexible Power Configuration: Different heat load combinations can be achieved by adjusting the number of heating tubes, circuits, and zones, facilitating multi-stage temperature control.
- Universal Design: Features flanged or standard pipe threaded connections that integrate seamlessly with industrial-standard vessels and piping. The fully flanged, plug-in design facilitates routine inspections, replacement, and maintenance.
